Between 1880-1924 over 2.5 million Jewish immigrants came to the United States. The majority of them came from Eastern Europe. While they were often described as Russian Jews, they came from the countries of Lithuania, Russia, Poland, the Baltic States, Belarus, Moldavia, Moldova Romanian, and Ukraine.
