Explore Your Community’s Migration Stories

Students will become “story explorers” to discover both visible and invisible migration stories in their community using structured observation and thinking routines. The lesson works in any setting and concludes with community sharing. This three-part series aligns with the Re-Imagining Migration Learning Arc: Day One focuses on Moving Stories. Day Two focuses on using the stories to better understand the significance of migration on communities. Day 3 focuses on Taking Action where students reflect and share about the migration stories they have documented.
